The Silver Gown
Choose a historical portrait. Send us your photograph. We'll create your place in history.
A silver gown, a garden, flowers and the serene confidence of someone who has absolutely nowhere else to be.
Present yourself. Choose your size and finish, then send us a clear photograph. We shall arrange the likeness and place you, quite convincingly, within the original portrait.
The original
Madame Bergeret, François Boucher, possibly 1766, National Gallery of Art, accession 1946.7.3.
The story
Boucher’s portrait places Madame Bergeret in a garden surrounded by flowers, silk, pearls and soft eighteenth-century colour. The shimmering gown is one of the picture’s great pleasures, catching the light against the quieter garden beyond.
Fine Art Paper: museum-quality fine-art reproduction. Matte Cotton Canvas: a softly textured canvas finish for a more traditional painted appearance.
Category: THE LADY.
