The Emperor
Choose a historical portrait. Send us your photograph. We'll create your place in history.
For anyone who has always suspected that an imperial portrait was the obvious next step.
Present yourself. Choose your size and finish, then send us a clear photograph. We shall arrange the likeness and place you, quite convincingly, within the original portrait.
The original
Charles Louis Napoléon Bonaparte, Charles Edouard Boutibonne, 1857, Cliffe Castle Museum, accession L3B-1989.
The story
Charles Louis Napoléon Bonaparte, later Napoleon III, was president of the French Republic before becoming Emperor of the French. Boutibonne’s portrait gives him the formal presence expected of a nineteenth-century ruler, with all the attendant seriousness.
Fine Art Paper: museum-quality fine-art reproduction. Matte Cotton Canvas: a softly textured canvas finish for a more traditional painted appearance.
